Ever since I was a young kid, my favorite Star Wars character has been Luke Skywalker.
When I “grew up”, I wanted to be Luke, and still do! As my fandom grew, I sometimes wondered how life was for the son of Vader. What was life like for Luke on the desert of Tatooine? What were his feelings and thoughts growing up with his Aunt and Uncle, not knowing much of anything about his birth parents? How hard life must have been as those around him made efforts to keep him bound from his future. A new comic series attempts to answer these questions.
From writer/artist Hong Jac-ga, comes the tale of Luke Skywalker before he became the famous Jedi we know today. The story has been confirmed as “official” but as Lucasfilm Senior Editor Jennifer Heddle states, the story is in a “grey area”.
I am a real fan of the art style used by the artist and the story is simple and fun. You can see the comic at the official site HERE.
