As a lifelong Star Wars fan, Daniel was excited about The Force Awakens but was given two months to live and would likely not make it to see the film. Along with Daniel’s family, the community rallied to Daniel in hopes that they could convince Disney/Lucasfilm to let him see the film early. So began #ForceForDaniel

“I really don’t think that I’m gonna make it,” said Daniel “Please do what you can. Help me.”

This request was bolstered by the support of Star Wars actors, Mark Hamill and John Boyega who felt that the “super fan” should get to see the film. JJ Abrams and the studio heard the call and granted Daniel’s wish, screening the film in his home.

“To all our wonderful supporters, friends, family and awesome strangers. Daniel’s final dream was just granted!”, said Daniel’s wife Ashley, “Today the wonderful Disney and Lucasfilms made his final dream come true, in the amazing typical Disney way, they really do make dreams come true!”

Our thoughts and prayers go out to Daniel’s family and friends.
