Star Wars Meets Top Models in Art by Brian Rood

Illustrator ,Brian Rood, was recently featured in Harper’s Bazaar with his crossover art where Star Wars meets the fashion world.

Using iconic backgrounds from the Star Wars universe, Rood inserted today’s top models into various roles such as Jedi, Princess, Scoundrel, and more. In the interview with Harper’s Bazaar, Rood talks about his collaboration with Lucasfilm,

“They came through and they went through some of the storybooks that I had done and picked out some of their favorite iconic scenes from the Star Wars films, with backgrounds everybody felt familiar with that you’ve seen a million times, and they had a list of the models in those scenes that they wanted with the outfits they wanted. You know, kind of replace Luke with Kendall Jenner. So that’s kind of how that evolved.” – Brian Rood

The connections between Star Wars and the fashion industry is nothing new. There have been many designers that have used George Lucas’ sci-fi drama as inspirations for their fashion shows and it works!.

Regardless of your thoughts on the models or the fashion industry, Rood’s creations are amazing works of art combining the beauty of the real with sci-fi. I like it! Check out the images below and see the full interview with Brian Rood HERE.
