The latest featurette to be released for Solo: A Star Wars Story goes behind the scenes to take a closer look at the team that created the style and atmosphere of the film.
“This is a Star Wars film about Rebels on the run”, says Director of Photography Bradford Young, “One of the things that struck me was that this film had to be natural. Had to be about characters putting their feet on natural surfaces.”
Just from the trailers, you can get a sense of the worlds that the Solo adventure takes place in an alien and gritty atmosphere.
“Bradford Young is a tremendous artist”, praised Director Ron Howard, “He has a fantastic style and usually builds from character and story”.
The featurette visits the many people that helped to create the visually stunning film, including Make Up, Hair, and Special Creature Effects with which without their artistic talents the film would not have that unique aura.
The highest praise comes from Emilia Clarke who plays Qi’Ra in the film, “This is beautiful! This an incredible piece of work!”
Solo: A Star Wars Story opens in theaters May 25th.
