Since The Force Awakens, Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau has started a tradition in the northern capital.

No, we aren’t talking about the Star Wars socks he is known to wear but the screening of a Star Wars movie with special guests from the local Children’s Hospital of Eastern Ontario (CHEO) and ACTUA. Along with these excited fans, members of Industrial Light and Magic and a familiar furry co-pilot accompanied Mr Trudeau to a sneak peek screening of Solo: A Star Wars Story.

Walt Disney Studios Canada created an amazing event for the children and we look forward to more fandom fun from them in future movie releases! Who knows, maybe Justin Trudeau will show up dressed in a Star Wars themed costume for Episode 9?

Solo: A Star Wars Story opens in theaters May 25th.
