Columbia Empire Strikes Back Crew Parka
Columbia Sports Wear has revealed a new jacket inspired by the Empire Strikes Back. Not a jacket that the characters wore in the film but the jacket that was worn by the crew. That’s right! Columbia has created a replica of the iconic parkas worn by the crew that filmed in 1979 Norway for the Hoth scenes in the Empire Strikes Back.
The Star Wars Empire Crew Parka is no simple “novelty” jacket either. Columbia has created a vintage style jacket but added all the modern technical elements that make the parka serious outerwear, including a waterproof outer shell with “Omni-heat thermal reflective lining that will keep you, according to Columbia, “as warm as a Wookiee”.
They may be on the pricey side for many but for those that can afford it, THIS is the jacket you’re looking for! Find out more about the parka HERE.

Books
A perfect way to relax at the end of the day is with a good book filled with beloved stories from the Star Wars universe. There are many to choose from and we have reviewed several books on Star Wars Reporter. Instead, we asked our very own James to give us one title that would make a great gift. He suggested, “Star Wars: Most Wanted.” Here’s why;
“Star Wars: Most Wanted is a young adult novel set before the events of Solo: A Star Wars Story. This light, fast, read tells the story of the early years of Han (not yet Solo) and Q’ira as they avoid the wrath of Lady Proxima and get caught up in the criminal machinations of several underworld factions across Corellia. It’s a fast paced read engaging enough for adult readers, but brisk enough to hold the attention of a younger audience.” – James Spahn

Games
Star Wars RPG 30th Anniversary Edition from Fantasy Flight Games
Getting together with friends to play games is a great way to socialize and gets you away from a computer monitor of console game. For me, there is no better way to do this than a good old fashion table top RPG. Fantasy Flight Games has several Star Wars themed gaming accessories, but what holds nostalgia for me is their D6 Anniversary Edition. This was the first incarnation that brought the Star Wars saga to the table top.
Here is your chance to play a Brash Pilot, Smuggler, Jedi or even an Ewok! (Yes – I said EWOK!)

Movies
One of my favorite things to do to relax is watch something “Star Wars-y” which includes movies and tv shows. Two of my favorites for this year was the critic favorite “Solo: A Star Wars Story” and my favorite animated show from Dave Filoni, “Star Wars Rebels”.
