Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker Trailer Revealed at Star Wars Celebration!

“Every generation has a legend”

At the end of the Episode IX Star Wars Celebration panel, it happened. What we’ve all been waiting for. We now know the title of the final installment of the Skywalker Saga and were treated to a teaser trailer!

Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker

*WARNING: GIDDY, RANDOM FANBOY THOUGHT AHEAD*

There is so much going on in the trailer! Rey has clearly been using her time to train in the force as we see her impressive Jedi agility. And it is the narration by Luke that has me all emotional as Rey stares at an approaching danger in the dessert,

“We’ve passed on all we know. A thousand generations live in you now. But this is your fight. We’ll always be with you.” – Luke Skywalker

Does this opening scene, Rey’s ability and the title reveal that YES, Rey is a Skywalker after all? Is the Skywalker “Rising”, Rey? My hope is YES. And as the Tie-Fighter approached her, we see the hands of the pilot. The hands looks like Kylo Ren and the action begins!

The scene that made me smile was Lando flying the Millennium Falcon. His return to the ship he loved and lost. Does this mean he has joined Chewbacca as part of the crew? Seeing a long overdue Billy Dee Williams in Star Wars again was an amazing feeling for me!

But the biggest reveal was that familiar cackling laugh…has the Emperor returned? Has he been alive all this time manipulating events like he had previously done? Or will he return in flashback scenes in the film? We shall see.

What do you think of the teaser trailer and the title? Let us know in the comments!
