This Star Wars Fan “Re-imagined” Scene 38 is the Ben Kenobi vs. Darth Vader Fight We’ve Been Waiting For

“You were my brother, Anakin! I loved you!”

An exciting “re-imagined” scene of the famous fight of Ben Kenobi and Darth Vader from A New Hope has just been released by FXitinPost and it is exactly what we’ve been waiting for!

“Scene 38 ReImagined is about the final confrontation between Ben Kenobi & Darth Vader in “A New Hope” nearly 20 years after the events of “Revenge Of The Sith.” This is a one-off story driven scene reflecting the characters in its chronological order from the point of Revenge of the Sith through Rebels, Rogue One, and all canon material leading to A New Hope.” – FXitinPost

Using clips from the original film and those added in the lightsaber duel, the scene uses the same acrobatic fighting style and Force powers we’ve become accustomed to seeing in a lightsaber battle since the release of the Star Wars prequels. That being said, I am not one of those fans that think that the original fight between Ben and Vader was a “boring, old man fight”. In fact, I love the scene and find it relevant to this day. To me, it wasn’t a scene about stylized fighting moves but a final battle between former friends and bitter enemies.

“Scene 38 has been a passion project for almost two and a half years now. I’ve put every spare moment—and then some—into the project. I am thankful to have brought in some amazing help on a few major shots along the way. The rest of the project was created in my apartment on a single workstation.” – Christopher Clements (from the FXitinPost website)
