Congratulations to Jon Favreau for receiving a STAR on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

Disney+ has just released the announcement and images from the ceremony which awards the actor/writer/director with the prestigious recognition that he very much deserves.

Among his many accomplishments in Hollywood, Favreau can be credited with the start and success that launched the “Marvel Cinematic Universe” (MCU) with the first Iron Man movie starring Robert Downey Jr. He has since, as most would agree, gone on to revitalize the Star Wars fandom with his creation of the hit Disney+ series, “The Mandalorian”. Along with long time Lucasfilm giant, Dave Filoni, has produced further Star Wars titles such as The Book of Boba Fett with more Star Wars shows on the way. All we can say to that is, “THIS IS THE WAY”!

From the press release:

Disney+ is pleased to share photos from multi-hyphenate Jon Favreau’s Hollywood Walk of Fame ceremony where a star in his honor was unveiled today. Guest speakers Robert Downey Jr. and Chef Roy Choi honored Favreau at the event, which celebrated his contributions to television.

Jon Favreau is currently showrunner and executive producer of the acclaimed, Emmy award-winning Star Wars series from Lucasfilm, “The Mandalorian,” which begins its third season exclusively on Disney+ March 1. For Lucasfilm and Disney+, Favreau also served as executive producer for “The Book of Boba Fett” and is executive producing the upcoming Star Wars series “Ahsoka” and “Skeleton Crew.”

The release also included photos from the event.
