In this week’s episode, “The Foundling” directed by Carl Weathers, the story explores more of the Mandalorian culture and the importance of foundlings within their society. We are treated to a flashback memory of the child during the events of Order 66 and who was responsible for his escape from the Jedi Temple.
Star Wars fan films have become an integral part of the Star Wars community, and their contributions have helped to keep the franchise alive and thriving. One such film maker is Matt Mickelson who, with his family, has created a series of fan films called, “The Han Solo Chronicles”. He recently shared a teaser trailer for the project and agreed to an interview.
The episode continues the adventure of Din Djarin and Grogu, but we are also introduced to some intrigue by Bo-Katan, starfighter battles, a compelling and sad story with a link to the sequels, and a redemption for our hero. This week we see another excellent character development episode for the rogue Clone Force 99 clone—Crosshair. It was an intense episode where we saw how the Empire treated the Clones as they transitioned to Stormtroopers.
In the latest episode, “The Mines of Mandalore”, Din Djarin and Grogu’s adventure continues as they travel to the Mandalorian homeworld to redeem the sin of removing his helmet in the “Living Waters” of the mines.
With The Star Wars Celebration Europe 2023 just around the corner, original art prints that will be available during the event has been revealed. This week’s episode built off the hype of The Mandalorian premier. It delivered an exciting and suspenseful adventure that gave us more answers into a major plotline and creature from The Clone Wars animated series—the Zillo beast—while also connecting to the season finale from last season.
